We are looking for someone with the range of skills required for the maintenance of our well-kept school buildings and attractive grounds. We are looking for a self-motivated, flexible, enthusiastic and hard-working site manager to join our supportive team.

The post includes procurement of repair and refurbishment services, alongside ensuring all areas of health and safety and safeguarding remain at the heart of all duties.

  • basic DIY/maintenance skills with an understanding of the workings of heating, plumbing and electrical systems
  • positive cheerful outlook and excellent interpersonal skills
  • good organisational and time management skills
  • good team worker as well as ability to be self-motivated when working alone.
  • ability to competently liaise with third parties including contractors to arrange quotes and oversee works.
  • ability to maintain and update premises and site records as required
  • knowledge of Health and Safety regulations
  • driving licence & use of own vehicle

Training will be provided for specialist areas as required.

Working hours are between 18.5 and 37 per week, 52 weeks per year. During the school term these hours to be worked on a split-shift basis to cover the opening and closing of the premises.

We are looking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant for one to one support required for a pupil with special educational needs.  The successful candidate will support emotional and social needs as well as confidence building; thereby enabling the child to access a wider curriculum provision in class, within small groups and some one to one intervention.

The successful candidate will have at least a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification and GCSEs in English and Maths A – C or equivalent.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed lunchtime supervisor to join our friendly passionate staff at St. Georges Lower School. You will be expected to interact with the children through play and have a warm nurturing personality.  First Aid training will be given if needed and then any job offer will be subject to a DBS check.

We are very proud of our school and were graded Good by Ofsted in May 2014 and all the staff play a vital role in raising standards and making a difference.

  • Meeting usually start by 6pm and finish no later then 9pm

We are seeking to appoint a Clerk to the Governing Body to support the Governing Body.

Duties will include taking minutes at the meetings which are held during the school term, there are usually 2 meetings per half term. Preparation for each meeting will be essential to include:

Sending the required papers to each governor, producing and distributing the minutes, organising governor training and general clerk duties to the governing body.

The clerk will be an integral part of the governing body, ensuring that all administration is up to date, and ensuring minutes are signed and filed correctly.

The clerk will report to the Chair of Governors
