21st November 2016

Our first AGM meeting took place yesterday with key roles being elected to get our PTA up and running this year, they are as follows:

Election of Chair – Jo Bucki
Election of Vice chair – Tony Day-Andrews
Election of Secretary – Charlie Darbyshire
Election of Treasurer – Claire Sherringham

We would like to thank everyone who attended to show their support. The committee has agreed to support the school’s Christmas festive events, including the school disco. The next meeting will be held on Tuesday 29th November at 2:30pm, everyone is welcome as there are so many areas in which people can contribute to help raise money for school projects and items in the future. For full minutes to the meeting please visit the schools website PTA page – we look forward to seeing you there.

A huge thank you to all parents/carers that attended the parent forum this morning, your contribution to the meeting was very insightful and appreciated and I hope you felt the conversations were informative too. For the benefit of parents that didn’t attend I have briefly listed the areas that were covered.

* Curriculum Fun/Theme days
* Fundraising for future school project – Playground equipment
* Safeguarding and site security
* Communication – Website, Facebook & Dojo
* Setting up a School PTA – To agree a date for AGM
* School Budget and Local Authority investment
* Future Parent forum Dates

I truly hope that we keep this momentum going, it was a pleasure to talk to so many parents. The knowledge that we have your support and backing to see the school succeed; injecting passion and pride into establishing a good reputation within our own community is wholeheartedly shared amongst all our stakeholders.
